Pi Wars Virtual Conference 2021

The 2021 Pi Wars Virtual Conference will take place on Saturday, 23rd January 2021.

Call for Speakers

Planning for the Virtual Pi Wars Conference is well underway. This one-day conference about everything Pi Wars will be held online on 23rd January 2021. It will be free to attend.

For an idea of what to expect, take a look at the programme on last year’s Pi Wars Mini Conference web site

If you have something that you think would stimulate, inspire, or otherwise entertain our guests, we’d like to hear from you, please! Talks can be on a whole range of different topics, from purely technical through to artistic stuff, teamwork tips, or “My Pi Wars Journey”.

Slots for talks are either long (~40 minutes), short (~20 minutes) or lightning (up to 5 minutes). If you have slides or a presentation to go with your talk that’s great (but it isn’t required). Speakers will need to send us their talks pre-recorded where possible to avoid technical problems on the day. Then we’ll go live to the speakers after each session for questions and answers.

We will also have a robot showreel of very short videos (each up to around a minute long). So if you want to show us the features of your robot without giving a big talk, this would be the perfect way to do it.

Rob Bricheno is in charge of organising the various talks and panels. If you would like to give a robotics or Raspberry Pi-related talk, please contact him at rwhb2@cam.ac.uk.

The deadline to send in your proposal is November 22nd. We’ll finalise the programme once we’ve received all of the proposals in the last week of November, and then you’ll have all December to record your talks.
