While straight line speed and chicanes are kinda of conflicting, I understand the premise of increasing difficulty and appreciate it :-).

Will the curvatures of the wall be symmetrical or asymmetrical? Since the white line is down the middle can it be assumed that minimum clearance between white line and wall will be >= 225/2 (half of the max width of the robot)? Otherwise it becomes more of a navigate/wiggle your way through the chicanes with the white line as just a way to center back.

Either way its fine, a very nice challenge.

What would the chicanes be like?

The ‘chicanes’ are not quite ‘chicanes’, more of a ‘narrowing’ in the course by 64mm on each side for part of the course.

I will be updating the drawing soon.

    Thanks Tim.

Sorry for the obtuse link, that’s actually to a tweet that has a sample drawing in context of the question.

Looking forward to the updated picture 🙂

    Cheers

The rules state “several ‘chicane’ sections” and the picture shows one.
